One of the best things about SL is when people come together to support each other in rough times. Squinternet Larnia has been an active and well-loved member of the Second Life community. Squinternet is the designer behind Donna Flora Fashions, and has been battling Breast Cancer since 2011. Recently the cancer has gone on the attack again, and Italian Squinternet has once again tried to prove the doctors wrong with her battle seeking alternative treatments at special cancer treatment centers.
The Second Life Fashion Community has rallied behind one of their own and will be presenting a fundraiser “Love Donna Flora” that will run from July 25th through August 11th where special items have been created to raise fund to help this much loved and respected designer. So I humbly present to you today one of the offerings created by Lybra Rage for the event. This gorgeous gown captures the feminine, floral character of Donna Flora designs in a perfect tribute to this amazing lady. This gown is called “Primrose” and will be available in three colors during the Love Donna Flora event. I’m wearing the Juniper color. The form fitting, mesh, mermaid style gown has an open slit up the left leg that is gracefully covered by a sheer fabric adorned with beautifully detailed roses. These same roses have been crafted into a jacketed that coordinated perfectly and truly captures and spirit of the Donna Flora line of clothing. Lybra has honored her perfectly in this gown and I am truly humbled to be wearing it today. Speechless is the word. So be sure to head over to the event that starts this Friday and pick up your gown knowing it will help a very special lady continue her brave battle.
